		<description>As a fellow distance runner, I sort of agree with you on the 1500m issue. At the same time, I wonder whether Clay had a really bad 1500 experience (or two) early in his career in which he went out too hard, finished in 6-something, and maybe even lost a decathlon because of it, leading him to be much more cautious in the future. I&#039;d like to believe that even if he hates the 1500 (as most decathletes probably do), he&#039;d want to score as many points as possible.</description>
